ABSTRACT
An interview with Krzysztof Rutkowski, president of the Polish Logistics Association, head of the logistics department at the Warsaw School of Economics and a member of the Research and Development Committee of the European Logistics Association, was presented. He discussed the main overall trends in Polish logistics particularly in relation to retailers and manufacturers of fast moving consumer goods. He gave his views on the impact of the growing presence of Western multinational companies on Polish logistics. He discussed the main obstacles and problems affecting logistics development in Poland. He was asked if there are any significant differences between the approach to logistics being adopted by international companies operating in Poland and local Polish companies.
