ABSTRACT
The article presents information about the industrial sector in the U.S. as of January 1, 2004. Comparative data is presented for various industries. Even though this year marks a strong period of recovery and a major change from the last three years, there still remains some similarities between 2003 and 2004. Just as high tech was an industrial leader in 2003, it will continue to be one in 2004. Semiconductors, computers, and related peripheral equipment manufacturing are expected to maintain their top ranking as real revenue growth leaders. In constant dollar revenues, computers, computers and related products, and semiconductors are ranked first, second, and third respectively.
