ABSTRACT
The article presents statistics indicating the performance history and expected performance of the U.S. ventilation, heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment industry. The gross operating profit (GOP) for the third quarter of 2003 is $4.8 billion. GOP for the first quarter of 2004 is expected to be $4.8 billion. GOP for the first quarter of 2005 is expected to be $4.9 billion. Input cost of materials and services in the first quarter of 2004 is expected to be at $16.6 billion and $9.3 billion for labor.
