Industry Overview
The article presents information about the trends in machinery and equipment industry the United States. Machinery and equipment manufacturers have been hit by a drastic drop in exports. However, capacity utilization rates have slightly improved. The growth in industry depends mainly on the willingness to invest. Domestic demand for machinery and equipment will slightly move up over the balance of the current year. The communication equipment industry also took a notable downturn. The demand for communication services will be vital to drive a need for equipment to deliver a growing amount of voice and data products.
