ABSTRACT
The article presents images of various examples of hobo nickels, or U.S. Buffalo nickels minted between 1913 and 1938 that were carved by hoboes, or tramps, as folk art, and notes the work of hobo artists Bertram Wiegand and George Washington "Bo" Hughes in producing such coins.
