An essay is presented on the wildness of weather. It explores the author's experience of the Oak-land firestorm in 1991. The author shares the incident when she became a volunteer weather spotter of the National Weather Service (NWS) SKYWARN program for the upcoming thunderstorm. Moreover, the author states that being a weather spotter, she was given a chance of experiencing an adventure.
