ABSTRACT
An essay is presented on the theme of sexuality and the revolution in the post-sixties works of English filmmaker Peter Whitehead. It explores Whitehead's 1960s films which reflect his instincts as a documentary artist and cultural commentator demonstrating the evolution of the decade's concerns of the various cultural imperatives of performance art, pop music, celebrity culture, hedonism, and political protest. It also notes Whitehead's works related to sexuality and sexual revolution.
