ABSTRACT
An essay is presented regarding the Jewish peity in late antique Palestine, considering its relationship to rabbis Torah. It discusses how Palestinian Jews in Late Antiquity participated in charitable activities conducted at their own institutions which they considered to be worthy, putting themselves as the intercessors whose activities caused the divine reward. Meanwhile, the author argues that rabbinic literature backs charitable activities and institutions.
