ABSTRACT
An essay is presented on the poetry of Canadian physician and soldier John Alexander McCrae. It examines the poem "In Flanders Fields" and death as a subject in most of McCrae's poem. It also offers a brief profile of McCrae as a soldier and a physician. Moreover, it notes on the descriptions of McCrae's biographers towards him as hale and possessor of an unexhaustible trove.
