An essay is presented on the acquisition of ethnic materials and Dogon staffs like rabbit mask and a dymmo by the Musée du quai Branly in Paris, France. It offers information on the role played by French President Jacques Chirac and art dealer Jacques Kerchache on the acquisition of arts. The author touched on the creations of the Dogon and its affair with the French.
