ABSTRACT
An essay is presented on burying a canoe. The canoe owned by the author is a Royalex boat with mahogany gunwales and ash thwarts. It highlights the author's experience with the canoe that carried him all the way across Canada and spent a 10-month winter on the shore of Lake Athabasca in Alberta. He decides to bury the boat in his yard to remind him of his experiences with the said boat.
