ABSTRACT
An essay is presented on a post-psychoanalytic problematic of ethics in education. It analyzes three constructs to address the topic namely otherness, desire and relationality, and highlights the work of Sharon Todd, Deborah Brtizman and Ewa Plonowska Ziarek as it relates to ethics in pedagogical situations. The author shares her conclusion that theoretical frameworks may lead to an understanding of the possibilities and limitations of different views of education.
