ABSTRACT
Reviews the exhibition of Greek sculpture at Washington, D.C.'s National Gallery of Art, which was arranged by then Director of the National Gallery J. Carter Brown with the cooperation of Greek Prime Minister Constantine Mitsotakis. The show moves to the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art on March 11. Thirty-four of the finest Greek statues from the fifth century BC; Opposition to the loan; Works are overwhelmingly beautiful.
