ABSTRACT
The article discusses the horror genre's success at the box-office. The success of horror films like "Cabin Fever," directed by Eli Roth, and "Saw," directed by Leigh Whannell, is indicative of the resurgence of gory horror films in Hollywood. The 2006 remake of Wes Craven's "The Hills Have Eyes," was so bloody it was initially rated X for its violence. The article suggests that the trend is due to the current chaotic political climate.
