ABSTRACT
This article presents information about theater. The Off Broadway theatre cannot offer one the best actors. On the whole it has been acknowledged that a Village theatre should not devote its energies to restaging Broadway plays. Two distinct alternatives have been proposed: new plays of a non-Broadway type and old plays which Broadway ignores. The famous Village theatres of the nineteen twenties elected the first alternative. Two new groups have just appeared: The Players Theatre and Proscenium Productions. The plays "Clandestine Marriage" and "Way of the World" will soon be shown at the theater.
