ABSTRACT
The author discusses the future of the orthopedic technician program by the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists and representatives of Westervelt College, Ontario, which will commence in 2014. He feels the encouragement required by surgeons of providing letters to the Canadian Orthopedic Association for highlighting patient safety issues because of untrained individuals. He reveals the required support of surgeons to fight against boards, unions and registering bodies of the hospital.
