ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the value of ethanol and oxygenate additive as a fuel in motors. He states that the new Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) in the U.S. expanded ethanol volume in motor fuels and the oil industry opposed the use of ethanol because it reduced the demand of foreign oil. He also mentions that a gallon of ethanol replaced a gallon of conventional gasoline which benefited agribusiness in the country.
