The authors discuss the development and growth of the College of Podiatry in Great Britain. The state that the college is known for its charitable practice but aims to lead on the education and practice of podiatry. Further, the authors describes some of the initiatives of podiatrist like Sir Francis Drake, including the Independent Prescribing Project and the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research.
