ABSTRACT
The author discusses the use YouTube video in promoting patient education and health promotion. He cites a video that he created and posted on YouTube, which encourages health promotion through patient engagement, behavior change and chronic disease management. A list is provided which identifies lessons that can be learned from the popularity of the video, including the use of peer-to-peer healthcare, the role of collaboration in health media and the use of social media as a change agent.
