ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the impact of U.S. President Barack Obama's move to endorse the same-sex marriage to the Catholic Americans in the U.S. He states that the teaching of the church is that marriage is only between one man and one woman and any sexual activity outside of marriage is sinful. He mentions that same-sex relationships can be as nurturing and life-giving as the best heterosexual relationships that open oneself to new ways of thinking about relationships.
