ABSTRACT
The article presents the authors' views on the use of pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine to achieve greater effectiveness of global development aid. According to the authors, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) include eradication of poverty and hunger; reducing child mortality rates; and combating HIV/AIDS. The authors say that meeting these goals requires effective public-private partnerships (PPPs) and collaborations among industry and governments.
