ABSTRACT
The authors comment on a study by R. C. Hermida and colleagues on the effect of time of day of blood pressure-lowering treatment on cardiovascular risk in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes. According to the authors, a key strength of the study is the confirmation of well known J curve for adverse outcomes in systolic blood pressure as measured in a clinic. Awareness and response to ticking biological clocks must reportedly be considered when constructing pertinent therapies.
