In this article, the author discusses a study regarding the role of podiatry care in preventing falls for older people in Great Britain. The author mentions that the linked randomised controlled trial, by M. J. Spink and colleagues, assessed the effectiveness through the use of a combination of foot and ankle exercise programme, falls prevention education, and routine podiatry care. It was found that podiatry intervention reduced the incidence of falls compared with routine care.
