He cites that a total of 362 tornadoes occurred nationwide in just a week and 340 died in the storms on April 27 making it the deadliest day for tornadoes since March 18, 1925. He adds that many of the tornadoes hit Alabama with 236 fatalities. He notes that the tornado outbreak also affected dental offices.
