The author covers issues related to leadership in the U.S. He agrees with Right Management chief executive officer (CEO) Owen Sullivan that managers should invest in developing the talent of their employees and address their aspirations to prevent their top performers from transferring to other companies. He cites seven reasons why he believes that the book "Leadership Challenge Forum," by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner is different from other leadership books and suggests ways to improve its fifth edition. He also recommends several leadership events.
