ABSTRACT
The author discusses the importance of laboratory diagnostics and the result of a cross-sectional survey study conducted in Croatia. She states that laboratory diagnostics contributed to the clinical decision making, because it supports prevention, therapeutic monitoring and diagnosis of human disorder. Meanwhile, a survey result shows that there is a need for reinforced actions to improve the extra analytical activities of the testing process.
