The authors reflect on the restrictions imposed in Air Canada regarding the presence of small pets during air travel such as cats, dogs, and birds. The authors note that the restriction has been overruled on July 2009 due to the competition with another airline WestJet, which allows pets during air travel. The authors argue that since air travel is essential in life and in business in Canada, travellers with allergies should be able to travel without putting their health at risk.
