ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's opinions on outplacement program. This procedure is done by companies that are downsizing their workforce. According to the author, outplacement procedures vary and should be treated from different perspectives. He notes that outplacement can be a theory, a tool, or a technique to help employees through the process of transition and help them re-orientate their career objectives and plans. A consultancy firm usually provides the outplacement services not only for the employees but also for the companies.
