ABSTRACT
The article presents views of the author on the state of Denman Tire Corp., the maker of off-highway, agricultural and commercial tires. The author says that Mesirow Financial Inc. has been hired by the company to study alternatives for the business. The author says that the lousy economy along with the probable bankruptcy of its lender CIT Group Inc. and inability of the firm to get federal loan have put the firm at stake in the year when it is celebrating its 90th anniversary.
