ABSTRACT
In this editorial the author comments on the performance of British banks in light of the global financial crisis of 2008-09. The article is critical of banking practices that reward bankers despite their contribution to poor economic conditions in Great Britain. Aspects of British government bailouts of a number of banks are discussed.
