ABSTRACT
The author reflects on several issues related to leadership in the U.S. He provides an overview on the 99-second presentation he made about leadership at the conference organized by the periodical "Training" in Atlanta, Georgia. He argues that companies can create leaders by making them accountable for their own progress, using coaching or mentoring, ensuring good design of leadership program and using on-job training. Wayne Crews of Competitive Enterprise Institute believes that the stimulus bill will not guarantee economic recovery.
