ABSTRACT
The author offers her insights regarding the health care system in the U.S. Based on her observations, policy makers may look favorable on the attempts of individual states to widen the health care safety net within their own borders. According to her, none of the health care programs introduced by some states can serve as a model because all these schemes confuse health care with health insurance. She urges President Barack Obama to make a step in providing universal health care.
