ABSTRACT
In this article the author uses his visit to an exhibition of artifacts relating to 19th century scientist Charles Darwin as a vehicle for pondering issues related to evolution and creationism. He compares Darwin's theories with a pronouncement made by Pope John Paul II about the literalness of the biblical book of Genesis. He suggests that Christianity and evolution are compatible.
