ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the U.S. immigration policy, open borders. He asserts that immigration is an issue that separates liberals, conservatives, and libertarians unpredictably. He notes that nearly 800,000 legal immigrants enter the country annually and roughly 150,000 of them have refugee or asylum-seeker status. He cites that immigrants must be required to enter lawfully regardless of how restricted or unrestricted immigration policy is.
