ABSTRACT
The author expresses his views on Catholic Church music, stating that since Pope Saint Pius X laid down the basic principles of liturgical music in Motu Proprio of November 22, 1903 which is called "Among the Cares of the Pastoral Office," considerable progress with regard to this music has been made in the U.S. According to the author, in all music used in the service of God, the quality to be looked for is true art. The author stresses that as Church music grows and flourishes, it should be provided with musical maturity.
