ABSTRACT
The author offers his thoughts on the issues affecting the sound engineering industry in New York. He states that the mastering sector is more affected with the developments in this industry in comparison with major recording studios. He also states that among those that succumbed to the pressures in this industry include Classic Sound, Jigsaw Mastering, and Frankford Wayne. He also underscored the acquisition of Scott Hull of Masterdisk.
