ABSTRACT
The article reflects on the performance of various steel companies amid the economic downturn in the U.S. Majority of companies in the country is impacted by the dire economic situation and steel industry is no exception. The author believes that eventhough the industry is affected by the event, it is not as pessimistic as what is featured in various publications in the country because it was able to navigate in a much more difficult situation than what it experienced.
