ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the use of project-based science (PBS) in the classroom as a way to encourage creativity, originality, and problem-solving skills among students. He argues that the criticism of PBS is often based on teachers' concerns about maintaining classroom decorum, an assumption his experiences say is unfounded. The author also discusses the educational philosophy of American education John Dewey.
