ABSTRACT
The author discusses the implementation of the McCarran anti-Communist law by the U.S. government amid the confusion within the administration in 1950. He perceives that the confusion has been in an attempt to have the Act amended or repealed, as Homer Ferguson has accused the officials for deliberately creating confusion and ill will towards the law. He also notes that out of the three parts of the McCarran Act, the third part, the McCarran immigration regulations are believed to be in most need of revision.
