ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the furniture company Ethan Allen's continuous reinvention throughout its history. The author discusses the company's growth and changes beginning in the 1950s and its independently owned Ethan Allen Showcase Gallery stores. The author believes that its single-branded store concept is part of Ethan Allen's success. He notes the many changes the company has made in a short amount of time and suggests that it is selling solutions.
