ABSTRACT
The author presents a political endorsement for U.S. Senator Barack Obama for the presidency of the United States in 2008. A profile of Obama and his political views is offered. The meaning of the often repeated slogan "change" associated with the Obama campaign is examined. It is argued that his is the only candidate who truly believes in the idea of a political commonwealth, that government is a collective responsibility.
