ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the November 2008 presidential election in the U.S. and the political campaign of the candidates. He suggests that the political campaign of the candidates should include a healthcare debate that would stress Senator Barack Obama's universal healthcare plan and Senator John McCain's administration policies. However, he notes that much of the discourse was focused on the economy and about the candidates' background.
