The author provides insights on ordering the proper materials for eye patients. He argues that in terms of special orders, no one knows exactly what materials are available. He says prescribing didymium for radiation/X-ray shielding is incorrect. If this is worn by a person exposed to X-ray radiation, the eyes will be exposed to unsafe levels of radiation.
