ABSTRACT
The author focuses on remanufacturing. He compares the concept of remanufacturing against the concept of recycling. He mentions the claim of reporter Thomas K. Grose that the leading academic center for applied research in remanufacturing is probably the National Center for Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery (NC3R) at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. He also notes that manufacturing leaders should be responsible stewards of the earth's resources.
