ABSTRACT
The author suggests cautious implementation of fingerprint recognition systems in the workplace. He says that organizations should first determine if there is a strong need to use a fingerprint recognition system, such as the prevalence of clocking in and out of employees on behalf of their coworkers. The technology is expensive and is not immune to security breaches, says the author.
