ABSTRACT
The author focuses on the decision of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce to endorse a ballot question that will provide $9.5 billion to underwrite the construction of 73 new schools and renovate older schools in the Clark County School District (CCSD) in Nevada. She clarifies that the ballot will not raise the tax rate of residents. She notes that the 1998 School Construction Bond have been invested wisely. She emphasizes the importance of education to business.
