ABSTRACT
The author discusses the conventions of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in San Diego, California and Chicago, Illinois in 2008. He shares that one of his favorite presentations at ASTD was that of Beverly Morrisen and John Schwenger, who both tackled means to improve their leadership effectiveness and programs. He states that leaders implement programs and practices for their teams and that leaders also go through failures.
