The author reflects on the idea of merging WiMAX and Long-Term Evolution (LTE). It aims to combine both with a common standard since consumers are primarily concern of its function. Intel announces to be producing chips that is suitable for LTE and WiMAX. The strategy of Intel Corp. is viewed as a flaw as it plans to create chipset for WiMAX and WiMAX/LTE.
