ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's reflections on current events in 2008 and Christian theology. Discussion is given regarding the significance of April as a month with portentous historical associations, such as the anniversaries of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the death of Pope John Paul II. The dangerous implications of the word "Islamofascism" are warned against. The views of philosophical theologian Nicholas Wolterstorff on democracy in the U.S. are also mentioned.
