ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the three bedding industry which has topped the Top 100 U.S. Furniture Stores list for 2007 with double-digit growth. He cites Mattress Firm Inc., Matress Giant and Sleepy's for having an impressive growth year. He asserts that one-tenth of the list are bedding specialists, which is an indication of strength and viability of the category on the retail landscape. He claims that 10 specialists added a net total of 424 stores in 2007.
